Proposal of process control in production safety valve
Jaša, Aleš ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pernikář, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is precise definition of control processes for components of Pressure Limit Valve 5 Generation (PLV5) which is produced by Bosch Diesel Ltd. in Jihlava. The objective was to define measurement methods which ensure identical results of measurement between co. Bosch Diesel Ltd. in Jihlava and suppliers of individual components. The results of this study are introduced into control drawings and described in individual conclusions of the thesis.
Modern audio signal restoration methods
Kalník, Jan ; Mangová, Marie (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with modern methods of audio signal inpainting. Main methods used will be sparse signal representations. Those will be implemented into MATLAB software using LTFAT and UNLocBoX toolboxes. Next we would like to accomplish the best results with the audio inpainting and then compare these results as well as subjectively as objectively.
Lighting control system using a wireless communication network
Levek, Vladimír ; Kadlec, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kuchta, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create and describe the wireless system for lighting control. A part of the work is the creation of modules for switching lighting and the creation of their operating programs. The first chapter briefly describes the way how the lighting control works and contains general requirements for the intelligent home. Further, there is a description of IQRF system, which serves as a wireless platform for the system. Next part of the thesis describes individual modules in terms of hardware and software. One part of the work covers the description of the transmission protocol. The attachment includes a listing of all operating programs for this wireless control system.
Alignment of DNA Parts
Pejř, Václav ; Burgetová, Ivana (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with finding the possibilities within the sphere of alignment of DNA sequences. Based on these findings, the best solution should be found with regard to the quickness of computation and quality of alignment. Following this I intend to implement and thus create a functioning program that will do the alignment. The thesis starts with introducing issues dealing with biology, DNA and genetics. The introduction is followed by a survey of algorithms that are used for alignment, their evaluation and selection of the most appropriate algorithm for the implementation. The thesis also focuses on the usage of parallel programming by means of OpenCL libraries. The alignment is being done above many sequences at the same time, so that the methods how this process can be done and how to reach the best results are being examined.
The cost of carry model in stock index futures: theory and reality
Němcová, Marika ; Dědek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Kučera, Adam (referee)
The thesis investigates the pricing efficiency of the commonly used cost of carry model in pricing stock index futures and its applicability on the German blue-chip index DAX and related futures contracts in recent years. The work considers the deviations of the observed futures prices from their theoretical counterparts as well as the fitness of the model through regression analysis. The results show that while there are many deviations from the fair values suggested by the model these are small in magnitude when compared with the potential transaction costs implying the contracts are efficiently priced. It is confirmed that there is a cointegrating relationship between futures and spot index values, however, given the regression analysis results the prices do not entirely follow the model design. The other part of the analysis focuses on the behaviour of the basis throughout the life of the relevant futures contracts. The results suggest that there is indeed a decreasing tendency towards the expiration of a contract, nevertheless, it is subject to considerable fluctuations. The paper also documents other factors that might impact stock index futures prices yet not included in the standard pricing formula. JEL Classification C12, C14, C22, G13 Keywords stock index futures, futures pricing , cost of carry,...

Flexible Moment Invariant Bases for 2D Scalar and Vector Fields
Bujack, R. ; Flusser, Jan
Complex moments have been successfully applied to pattern detection tasks in two-dimensional real, complex, and vector valued functions. In this paper, we review the different bases of rotational moment invariants based on the generator approach with complex monomials. We analyze their properties with respect to independence, completeness, and existence and\npresent superior bases that are optimal with respect to all three criteria for both scalar and vector fields.
